2022 Junior Golf - Get In the Game!

Great Raccoon Creek Junior Golf opportunities!

We offer a variety of fun programs to fit all junior golfers. In addition to the terrific programs listed below we also offer private golf instruction for juniors at a reduced rate.

To kick-off 2022, we are planning a free Junior Golf Day on April 2nd. Complete details are listed below. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your junior golfer out for some fun, to meet our coaches, have all your questions answered, and win some prizes!

We know you have questions, and we are here to help you find the best program fit(s) for your junior golfer. Our program is designed to be fun and addictive! We want to turn your juniors into avid golfers! As your golfer progresses in skill and age, we offer programs with increasing levels of instruction and competition. Please contact Don or JJ with any questions about program content and to learn which program(s) would be best for your junior golfer.

Determining Age-Appropriate Participation

We recommend the tenents set forth in the American Development Model endorsed by the PGA and USA Hockey. Youth sports participation in early stages of athetis development (Ages 10 and under) should to be focused on general and overall athletic skill development with a gradual introduction of sport specifi skills. The focus should remain on safety, fun and creating an atmosphere kids will want to return to. In our Junior Golf Programs, we will do other athletic activities in addition to golf like skipping, footwork agility, ball toss and catch and balance exercises. We'll also have plenty of golf and golf instruction!

Parents are welcome to observe all sessions. Golfers must be comfortable interacting with other kids and having fun! Participants must follow basic safety rules and have the necessary attention span for the allotted class time. We have age recommendations for each program based on our experiences and ecemmendations in the American Development Model mentioned above. Please do not register students below the recommended age without our permission.

Please feel free to contact us any time via phone or email. We are looking forward to a great season!

Camp is capped off with the popular 2-hour on-course session that includes a golf gift. Camps are designed for kids seeking quality instruction and an on-course experience in a fun environment. Kids love the mini camps and usually attend multiple sessions.

SUPER-Mini 3-Day Camps - $125

Great for younger players excited about attending an age-appropriate golf camp. This is a scaled-down version of our regular 3-day mini-camp with one-hour sessions. Smaller group size for safety! Appropriate for ages 6-8.

We created this program in 2020 for younger players who want to try golf. Our goal is to spark a desire to experience more golf because it’s fun! The sessions are only one hour to match the typical attention span for the age group. The focus will be on safety, fun and golf (in that order). We will have 1-hour morning sessions on Monday and Tuesday from 9-10am. Those sessions will introduce full swing, putting and chipping skills. We will also have an on-course session on Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 7:30 where participants will play one hole on the course.

It is difficult to recommend a starting age for kids to attend camp. It comes down to their desire to participate, and ability to stay engaged and hang with the class for an hour while following basic safety concepts regarding swinging a club. Parents are encouraged to attend, especially the Wednesday evening session where caddying for your player would be useful. All participants will also receive a fun golf gift pack.

3-Day SUPER-Mini-Camp Camp session times are:

  • Monday and Tuesday morning from 9-10am
  • Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30pm
